Film Buff of the Year (1982)

Concept and creative process

Four members of the public were contestants for the title 'Film Buff of the Year' 1982 and were asked questions on all aspects of film and film making. The titles were shot on a computer-controlled rostrum camera and the streaks were created by using the light scan technique of keeping the aperture open while tracking in. The same technique was applied to the shooting of the outline rotoscoped animations of famous scenes from the movies.
