Didn't They Do Well (2004)

Concept and creative process

Bruce Forsyth hosts the general-knowledge quiz that uses clips from classic game shows to test how the contestants of today measure up to those of the past with the potential for a prize of £32,000. The titles are a multi-layered, animated, post-production montage of clips of presenters and title logos from classic quiz shows of the past. The fast-moving visuals resolve into an explosion of animated file cards which culminates in a clip of Bruce Forsyth delivering his famous catch phrase, the title of the show, 'Didn't They Do Well?'
