Concept and creative process
Title sequence for a documentary series about the workings of Heathrow airport and the drama of everyday life for the workers and people using the airport. The sequence depicts the mood and atmosphere of the airport in a stylised way, emphasising shapes and images found there. The live action was shot on tape and edited using cuts but with stylised wipe effects, changing exposures and colours before the cuts, thus giving a feeling of extra movement. The live action was shot in one day at the airport in a documentary style i.e finding the shots available on the day.
