Thomas Vercoustre Interior Design Environment Architectures alumni

Thomas Vercoustre

Biography

Thomas is currently interning as a Junior Architect in Paris. On a normal day, he could be making CAD drawings, creating 3D models and preparing client presentations.

Whilst on the course, Thomas had the opportunity to present his final major project to members of RIBA and gain valuable feedback on his work.

Thomas was initially drawn to Ravensbourne because of the quality of the facilities on offer to students. At first, he was torn between the Interior Design Environment Architectures and the Architecture course. Thomas eventually chose the IDEA course, as for him, it was just the right mix of interiors and architecture and with a focus on sustainability.

With support from the tutors, Thomas was able to grow into a focused and capable designer. Whilst on the course he immersed himself in the experience; attending talks, entering student competitions, attending studio visits and trips abroad and learning to curate his work for the final degree show.

Thomas’ advice to other students is to make the effort to take part in extra-curricular activities and use your summers wisely to seek internships.
