Ravensbourne has an enviable reputation in the broadcast and film industry. We are known to produce graduates with outstanding technical competence, who can recognise the potential in a particular story.
I’m pleased to work with a large variety of lecturers and course leaders. They encourage our students to engage with the industry in the UK, and broaden their horizons towards working and succeeding internationally.
I’m always excited to see so many of our graduates taking creative risks in order to succeed and show their expertise in applying technology. Graduates often use their entrepreneurial skills and over time have started their own production houses, creating notable full-length features.
Professor Jeremy Barr, Associate Dean
Ravensbourne has won the Bill Vinten GTC University Award 2017 for the quality, aesthetic and technical skill of the portfolio of films that were submitted for competition for the past Academic Year.
Ravensbourne’s broadcasting faculty still leads the way in preparing the next generation of broadcast professionals. Covering core craft skills as well as all the newer broadcast technologies, the college is a trailblazer in education for this sector.
