Photoshop & Illustrator for fashion: intermediate level
Build on your existing Photoshop and Illustrator skills and focus on more advanced techniques specific to the fashion industry. Having already mastered the basics of editing, drawing and colouring, you will learn how to create more complex design details and textures as well as learning the fundamentals of creating your own original repeat prints.
Throughout the course, you will be guided through expert techniques with step-by-step exercises, gaining a deeper knowledge of both programs and allowing you to professionally communicate your design ideas in industry.

- Representing textures, patterns and fabrics in Photoshop and Illustrator

On completion of this course you will have gained a deeper level of understanding on how to use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and how to apply their uses to fashion design. You will have increased your confidence to realise your ideas digitally. You'll also learn new skills and widened your knowledge base on practial skills including advanced technical drawing and print and pattern design, as well as continuing to build your own body of work through exercises undertaken during the course.

About your tutor: Leonie Li
Since graduating 12 years ago from the University of Creative Arts in Epsom, Leonie has been working consistently across various roles within the fashion industry. She is an experienced CAD designer who specialises in childrenswear, with extensive knowledge of both Photoshop and Illustrator and their applications within the realms of design. Her recent roles include Design Manager at Marie-Chantal, a luxury childrenswear company, where she managed the small design team as well as designing the girlswear collections across multi-product. She is currently working with WGSN, creating CAD-based forecast collections and trend analysis reports for the Kidswear department.
