Greenwich Digital Skills (GDS) offer an exciting variety of part time, evening and weekend digital short courses for 19+ learners.

Intermediate Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator

Introduction to Post Production using Adobe Premiere Pro

17-19 December / 10am-4pm

Brought to you by leading industry expert Tommy Leigh (The Farm Group / The X Factor / Britains Got Talent) this course will teach you how to organise you footage, decide which is the best takes and edit them into the timeline. You’ll learn how to speed up your editing using keyboard shortcuts, as well as tips and tricks to make you a better editor. Once you’ve edited some scenes together, we’ll look at cleaning up the audio, and adding sound effects and music. We'll briefly look at colour correction, so you can give the film the look and feel you want, and finallyfinish offwith exporting your film as a master or for uploading to the web.

This is a hands on course that is ideal for a complete beginner, someone who wants to gain more confidence editing, or someone who wants to learn more about the film and video editing process.

Short film footage and all computer equipment will be provided. Please bring along a hard drive.

Webcasting for Beginners

Do you have a story to tell? A passion to visualy communicate news or a hobby to share? During this fast paced interactive multi-media course you will learn how to live stream self generated content to any audience you require.
Youtube, Facebook Live, Periscope or Twitch are new exciting ways to communicate live to an end-user. This course will give you a chance to investigate further and to be an active provider of content and not just a passive receiver.

Investigate the tech required to start your own webcast i.e. Mobile phone, home computer or laptop, gaming set-up, cameras & microphones, etc…
