International students able to remain in the UK two years after graduation
The Home Office recently announced new proposals for international students studying at undergraduate level and above to be allowed to remain in the UK for two years after graduation to find a job. Under the new proposals, there will be no restrictions on the types of work students would need to be seeking and no cap on numbers.
The new Graduate Immigration Route will be launched in the summer of 2021, meaning that any eligible student who graduates in the summer of 2021 or after will be eligible to apply to remain in the UK via this method.
In total, there were around 450,000 international students in the UK last year. As a Tier 4 sponsor and a university with a strong history of welcoming international students, Ravensbourne welcome the proposals for its current and future students to benefit from the proposed ‘Post-Study Work’ visa.
