Ravensbourne do not have our own Halls of Residence but work with a number of private accommodation providers to offer students a home whilst at Ravensbourne. 

The information below is Academic Year 2018/19. Prices and booking information for 2019/20 entrants, will be available from December 2018.

Scape Living

Ravensbourne have partnered with Scape Living to provide stylish accommodation for our students. Situated on the Greenwich Peninsula near The O2 arena and plenty of bars, nightclubs and restaurants, Scape Greenwich is a short walk from Ravensbourne, North Greenwich tube and Emirates Air Line.

Ravensbourne discounted FE check-in rooms are now all allocated for 2018/19You are still able to book directly at Scape but you will need to speak to them about arranging an early check-in date (this is usually not something they can confirm until they know if current tenants are checking out before the end of their contract). Prices for a direct let start at £255 per week on a 51 week contact.

McMillan Student Village 

 Located 20 minutes from Ravensbourne by bus and just minutes away from Greenwich Village, with excellent transport links to the rest of London via bus, train and DLR. McMillan Village has a vibrant student environment in which to study, relax and make new friends. They provide modern, contemporary studios with en-suite facilities and your own kitchen space. Wifi is available throughout. Security features include a 24-hour manned reception.

Ravensbourne students will receive a discounted price for 2018/19. Farndale Court

Set in Woolwich with good public transport links to Ravensbourne, Farndale Court offers student cluster flats and is a popular choice among our students.

2018/19 not yet confirmed, but prices for 2017/18 started at £630 per calendar month, including all utility bills, on a 48 week contract.

Sir John Cass Hall

Cass is a newly refurbished purpose-built building with 132 bedrooms arranged over three floors.

All of the single-study bedrooms have their own mini-fridges, washbasins and wireless broadband internet.

Cass is approximately 30-40 minutes from Ravensbourne by public transport.

Renting in the private sector

London is a fantastic city to live and work and whilst it is a very positive experience, people often find the find the prospect of finding private sector housing daunting.  

London is distinct from most other places in the UK when it comes to private accommodation, particularly for students, because it is not usually possible to arrange your accommodation far in advance of starting your course. This is a great thing as it gives students plenty of time to think about their accommodation options and decide on the best one. Most people find their accommodation about 1-2 months before moving in.

Ravensbourne have enlisted the services of the University of London Housing Services (ULHS) who run a private housing service for many students in London. Both current students and those with an offer to study, as well as staff, can access these services.

The ULHS can offer advice on how to find accommodation, which areas to consider, what the options are, pricing and more. They produce a Private Housing Guide which a vast amount of information on how to search and secure accommodation in London which is also accessible online here.

They have an online database of accommodation offers from registered landlords and letting agents which operates throughout the year. These offers include flats and houses for groups as well as rooms in shared flats and houses.

They offer housing advice including a contract checking service which allows you to have your contract for private accommodation checked before you sign. They also offer legal advice should you get into any difficulty in private accommodation.

International student accommodation

International Students House (ISH) provides affordable Central London based accommodation for students.

Residents get access to essential facilities, such as kitchens, bathrooms, Wi-Fi, an on-site bar and restaurant, and the opportunity to participate in a range of fun and educational events.

Please be aware that all students are required to have overseas travel/medical insurance to cover themselves whilst staying in London.

Under 18s

Please note that the majority of student accommodation providers will not accept bookings from students who will be under the age of 18 on the first day of their course.  This is down to child protection issues.  The exception to this rule, is McMillan, London who are able to take a limited number of under 18 students. The other alternative is to live with a Host Family - see below:
