What is Clearing?

Clearing is the system that offers students who have not yet secured a place at university, the opportunity to apply for available places.

You can use Clearing if:

  • You’ve completed a UCAS application;
  • You don’t get any offers;
  • Your offers aren’t confirmed;
  • You’ve turned down all the offers you received;

You’ll automatically be entered into Clearing if you apply after 30 June.

Please visit the UCAS Clearing page for UCAS advice.

Clearing at Ravensbourne

Clearing places at Ravensbourne are available to study from September 2017. Go to the clearing course list to see courses that are still available.

Our clearing phone line will be open from 3 July 2017. You will then be able to call us on 020 3040 3991 or email clearing@rave.ac.uk to talk with one of our friendly team.

In the meantime you can find out more on Twitter at #MakeItRavensbourne, The Student Room or in our new Facebook applicants Group, where you can speak directly with existing students and get to know others like you that are interested in studying at Ravensbourne.

What to expect from Clearing

At Ravensbourne we want clearing to be easy and for you to be a part of something amazing.

But don't just take our word for it: watch Milly, Jacob and Hisham talk about their experiences of going through clearing, and why they chose us.

Visit Ravensbourne

Visiting Ravensbourne can be a great way to get to know us and get a feel for what it's like to be a student here. We are running a special Clearing Open Day event on Saturday, 19 August and we run several open day events around this time of the year. Please refer to Open Events and Tours for more information and to book your space.

We also have regular Building Tours where our Student Ambassadors will show you our RIBA award-winning building, our well stocked Central Loan Services (filled with the most amazing kit), our prototyping rooms, social learning spaces and our StudyZone - including the first materials library to open in the UK.

Open days and tours last just over an hour and are open to anybody thinking of studying here, and their guests - so please do bring your family and friends too.

To secure your place, please book yourself in online.

If you can't make it in person, you can always take a virtual tour!
