Kolton Lee holds the position of programme director for Media Works at Ravensbourne, leading the delivery of courses like BA (Hons) Digital Film Production, BSc (Hons) Digital Television Production and BA (Hons) Music and Sound Design.
Kolton is an award-winning filmmaker and novelist and former editor of The Voice — ‘Britain's leading black newspaper for news, sport and entertainment with an African and Caribbean perspective’.
Kolton began his career working as a documentary researcher for the BBC before attending The National Film and Television School. His graduation film, ‘A Chance To Dance’, was screened as one of six short films curated by Sir Lenny Henry for the BBC.
Prior to joining Ravensbourne, Kolton led the BA (Hons) Screenwriting course at the Central Film School and held the position of Senior Lecturer on the BA (Hons) Filmmaking course at Kingston University prior to joining Ravensbourne. He has also taught at Greenwich University, London Metropolitan University and Southbank University.
