During her final term studying Fashion Styling and Photography at The London College of Fashion, Jemma became Junior Fashion Editor of London based fashion publication SAM Magazine before embracing many other roles within the fashion industry after graduating. These include assisting international stylists on editorials for Vogue Nippon, Vogue Italia and Wonderland as well as production roles for fashion shows for Alexander McQueen and Topshop New Generation before becoming a Fashion Stylist and Consultant herself. Clients include Nike, Levi's X Liberty and Ministry of Sound for many pop promos, advertising campaigns and editorials.
Alongside these roles, Jemma has lectured on several fashion courses at Central Saint Martins, London College of Fashion, UCA Epsom and Rochester and University of Brighton.
After 10 year in industry and teaching roles, Jemma returned to education for further study and began a series of research projects centred around fan culture in the digital age and the notion of following followers as they create their own world. This culminated in a short documentary entitled This is Hardcore featuring 3 passionate collectors and their collections. Further academic research includes Web 2.0, Generation Z and the changing digital landscape.
