Emma studied Fashion Management and Marketing at degree level at the University for the Creative Arts, graduating with a first class honours. The launch point of her career in Higher Education came after being sponsored to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education, awarding her as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. It is here that her passion to work closely with students, nurturing their inner talent and creative ability began.

Emma has recently completed her Master’s qualification in Luxury Design Innovation and Brand Management. This enabled her to widen her academic experience further, pushing the boundaries between creative and academic practices. Emma also has commercial experience, from working with the buying and marketing teams within popular high street retailers such as Marks & Spencer.

Emma has worked with students in Higher Education for several years in a range of roles from leadership to student mentorship. She has specialist knowledge of the fashion brand management process from market sector, competitor and consumer research through to range planning and brand development. Emma enjoys embedding innovative teaching and learning practices as well as student development initiatives into her daily work with the students at Ravensbourne.
