Alex Phillips is a real estate development professional with 20 years of UK and international experience.
He is currently Property Director at GLH Hotels, the largest owner-operator hotel management company in London with over 5,000 rooms, where he is responsible for the £1.5bn portfolio. Previously he was Director of Masterplanning at Grosvenor where he was responsible for identifying long-term development opportunities on Grosvenor’s 300-acre London estate in Mayfair and Belgravia.
He brings to the team his expertise and experience in the development, design and delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder, mixed-use projects including the redevelopment of the Millennium Dome into The O2 and the delivery of public-private-partnership projects in London including the award-winning Clapham Library for Cathedral Group (now U+I Plc).
Alex is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and he holds degrees from the University of Bath, Oxford Brookes University and Virginia Tech. He began his career working as an architect with RTKL in the UK and USA and also Allies and Morrison. He is a member of the Monopoly Network and The Academy of Urbanism.
