Ravensbourne architecture courses approved by Architects Registration Board (ARB)
Ravensbourne becomes only UK institution to offer an approved course with the specialism of “interiors” in the title.
Two of Ravensbourne’s architecture courses have been prescribed as fulfilling the requirements needed to gain part one of a three part architecture qualification from ARB, the UK’s architects regulator.
BA (Hons) Architecture and BA (Hons) Interior Design Environment Architectures (IDEA) will gain this qualification from Friday 1 June 2018 ensuring current first and second year students qualify with this on graduation. This qualification is part of a suite of qualifications which can be used for the purposes of registration as an architect in the UK. There is also a BA (Hons) Urban Landscape Architecture course which completes the full architecture programme.
Associate Dean of Ravensbourne’s Department of Architecture, Layton Reid, said: “This is a fantastic achievement to gain this qualification from ARB.
“For anyone thinking of a career as an architect I’d encourage you to come to The Degree Show which takes place from Wednesday 21 June - Friday 23 June. This is a unique opportunity to look at third year students’ work and ask any questions you may have. Our teaching staff will also be on hand to talk to you about different aspects of the course.”
