BA (Hons) Architecture student wins AIA UK Student Design Award
BA (Hons) Architecture student Tonderai Maboreke has been awarded the prestigious American Institute of Architects (AIA) UK Noel Hill Student Award.
The AIA UK is a chapter of the AIA which recognises individuals and organisations for their achievements in support of the profession of architecture. The chapter hosts annual Excellence in Design Awards in which professional entries are sought from architects, industrial designers, urban planners, landscape architects and interior designers for completed projects in the UK. Tonderai was selected as the winner of this years Noel Hill Student Award receiving a £1000 travel grant.
Tonderai was presented with his award at the Gala held on Monday 18 April at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London. ‘I am extremely grateful to have received the award. It was a great evening where I was able to meet many influential proffesionals in the design and construction industry. The entire experience was invaluable and I hope to remain in contact throughout my career’ said Tonderai.
