Fashion Promotion reaches new heights
Summer 2015 is off to a splendid start for several graduating BA (Hons) Fashion Promotion students.
Alisa Milchevskaya (see left) has been named as this year’s All Walks Beyond the Catwalk Finalist, impressing the judges with her nature inspired project.
All Walks Beyond the Catwalk work with many schools and higher education institutions to further their positive message of acceptance.
“When I was in my third year, we were encouraged to take on board the idea of diversity, implement it within our work and participate in the competition,” says Alisa.

Fellow student Jasmine Macphee was awarded the prestigious Fashion New Media Award at Graduate Fashion Week for her final major project, an app aimed at fashion industry interns and employers.
Jess Calderwood took home the Concept Award for 'The Cut Above', a 360 degree campaign designed to raise the global profile of Savile Row, London.
BA (Hons) Fashion Promotion enables students to explore creative professional practice, technological knowledge and theoretical understanding in preparation for a variety of careers within industry.
Here are a few points taken from the external examiner’s Report that explain how:
• The course is producing multi-taskers and highly capable professional students.
• The focus on entrepreneurial skills and divergent thinking is clear to see and the team are continuing to nurture employable and relevant graduates.
• Students have been carefully guided in the production of engaging and innovative portfolios, which are well edited and executed. The work feels "industry ready" and the inclusion from national competitions is commendable.
Fashion Promotion as a course is very broad, which enables you to try different disciplines from marketing, to photography and styling. This makes it easier to choose the one which is best suited to you.
