Incubation+ is a friendly collective founded on connections and collaborative working. We provide extensive commercial support to graduates and businesses including accelerator programmes, business mentoring, exposure to investors, commercial partnerships, networking events, and branding expertise from our in-house creative team.

We offer tailor-made training and knowledge exchange, with opportunities to work with student talent through internships, work placements and student briefs, as well as providing access to our community of academics and researchers at the leading edge of their fields.

Our responsive and flexible approach supports what your business needs now, and helps to define what it will need in the future. From an MR/VR lab to hot desking, office space, meeting facilities, and an event and exhibition space, Incubation+ is equipped to nurture and catalyse the true potential of your business.

Nihal Shah

Nihal Shah and his eponymous brand

Nihal Shah graduated from Ravensbourne with a graphic design degree and took part in Ravensbourne University London’s Self Employment Entrepreneurship Diversity Scheme (SEEDS). He then went on to start his own home interiors brand, NIHAL SHAH (nihalshah.com), a homeware brand celebrating cultural inclusiveness through design. 

The meaning behind his brand:

My obsession with geometric patterns comes from the complexity of their design, and the perfect balance of their mathematical elegance. I am most fascinated in the way geometry is used by different cultures; how form and shapes are manifested in many ideologies, beliefs, values, and traditions. This is why, when it comes to my work, I take a personal approach to my designs, drawing inspiration from the range of cultures and identities that exist both in London and myself.

By analysing, dissecting and merging different cultural patterns together, I design unified prints, echoing the commonality between us. I want people to feel a personal connection to my designs. Blending warmth and familiarity with a contemporary freshness, my patterns are a celebration of cultural inclusiveness, while simultaneously embracing our differences.

Virtual Umbrella logo

Virtual Umbrella

Virtual Umbrella joined Ravensbourne Incubation after working on the VRUK Festival that took place at Ravensbourne. 

Bertie Millis and Samantha Kingston are the co-founders of Virtual Umbrella. Founded in 2015, with backgrounds in marketing, immersive, theatre and business.

Virtual Umbrella provides marketing, consultancy and event services to those working in the immersive technology sector.

One week they could be distributing 200 Oculus Quest headsets for a client and the next they could be creating a marketing strategy for a VR training solution.

They have worked with companies such as BFI, British Airways, Orsted, Philharmonia Orchestra and many more. They have also worked in Geneva, Brazil and the US.

Conducttr sells to large businesses, consultants and governments. Clients include EUFA, Vodafone, Coke, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Ministry of Defence and others.

John O'Sullivan of Coelrind

John is a seasoned, serial entrepreneur who has founded several successful businesses in the education sector.

John and his talented colleagues founded his current company, Coelrind Ltd, in 2015 to focus on developing the best online assessment platform for examinations boards and to help bring UK qualifications to international markets such as China, Kazakhstan and Malaysia, where Coelrinnd is currently active.

Coelrind delivers over 500,000 exams a year, across 15 countries, for 32 exam boards and colleges.
