The all-dayer empowers the next generation of artists, creatives and industry professionals by connecting them with the leading music specialists and musicias.

On October 1, Urban Development will take on Ravensbourne University, North Greenwich London, and lead you on a path to success. Are you ready to take over?

From intern-level to industry professional, the all-dayer has key speakers to inspire your next steps. Inspirational start-ups like GRM Daily, Reprezent FM and NANG to Complex UK, Vice, Polydor Records, Atlantic Records and Sony Music, will be discussing the pros and cons of major and independent labels, the future direction of grime and how to monetise your music and visuals. This year emerging artists will be able to get one-on-one feedback in our A&R clinic – just don’t forget your USB.

Showcases on the day include the live band The Compozers who adapt the classic DJ set into a live format that will bring every music fan to their feet. The Square’s Elf Kid and Nu Brand Flexxx will deliver classic grime energy and NANG’s stage, curated by Ralph Hardy, will feature the tastemakers favourite Avelino. If that wasn’t enough, Paigey Cakey and Loves Afrobeats P Montana and Mista Silva will deliver their exclusive set packed full of hits.

The Guardian’s Kieran Yates, stylist and activist Ayishat Akanbi with be taking on the ‘Decoded’ debate chaired by Urban Development’s Lord Victor Adebowale. Addressing the social political issues, including sexism and racism, within the entertainment industry. How does the current state of politics effect the journey of an artist? What can you, as a creative or industry professional, do to combat prejudice? Join the debate.
