Campus MovieFest (CMF), the world’s largest student film festival, has come back to London this term! Between 29th October and 4th November 2014 Ravensbourne was a part of this festival for the very first time!

Since 2001 Campus MovieFest has travelled throughout the United States and Mexico and currently tours over 75 colleges and universities throughout the year. All students are given the opportunity to make a five-minute film in a week, and thus showcase all of their amazing talent.

Campus MovieFest (CMF) will be hosting a Grand Finale to showcase the top 50 short films made by students from six universities in the London area, including films from Ravensbourne.

Over £15,000 in prizing will be awarded at a glorious, red carpet Awards Ceremony. The top 15 films of the Grand Finale will all receive a 12-month Adobe Creative Cloud membership (£562,50 value).

The Best Picture will also receive a special invite, including round-trip airfare and accommodation to attend and screen their film at CMF’s annual filmmaking summit, CMF Hollywood in June 2015. CMF Hollywood is the premiere event for student filmmakers around the globe, offering opportunities for pitch meetings, educational workshops, screenings of their films, networking opportunities, and chances to win cash and prizes valued at over $150,000 USD, and much more. In addition, Best Comedy and Best Drama winners will also have their films screened at CMF Hollywood in June 2015. The Best Picture will also screen in the Short Film Corner at the Cannes International Film Festival in Cannes, France, in May 2015.

The Festival Screenings of the Top 50 films will take place on Saturday 29 November 2014 from 10AM to 4PM. The Awards Ceremony will be held the following evening, on Sunday 30 November 2014 at 7PM, with doors opening at 6PM. Both events will take place at Cineworld Haymarket at 63-65 Haymarket, London SW1Y 4RL.

Admission is £3 for students and £5 for the general public and tickets can be purchased here.
