Premiere: Battlecock

Ben Mallaby, Senior lecturer BA (Hons) Digital Film Production will be premiering his latest short film, Battlecocks, at the BFI London film festival this Thursday 17 October.

His film, Battlecock was funded by Film London earlier this year and is part of the official selection at this years festival. The short which was written by Toby Williams and Paul F Taylor utilising the talents of Ravensbourne students from a variety of courses including BA (Hons) Sound design and BA (Hons) Post Production.

Recent graduates Kieron Johnston and Martin Todd provided the sound design; Jack Neale provided the VFX; Alexandra Miguel Martinez was clapper loader; Joseph Bicknell was the colourist; Jack Dunn designed the titles; and Kris Forrest, Nicola Braid, Thom Rathod and Harry Matthewson were runners.

The film screens as part of the London calling programme at the BFI on Thursday at 6:15pm. Tickets are sold out but some will be made available to those who turn up early.
