Dr Paolo Zaide PhD

Paolo Zaide is an architect and academic working across the fields of architecture and curation.

He has taught architecture and design since 2003 at the Cass, London Metropolitan University, Central Saint Martins and the Bartlett School of Architecture.

Prior to his role as educator, he worked as a project coordinator for the Royal Institute of British Architects on the international talks and events programme. He has also worked for Denton Corker Marshall and Alsop Architects on projects ranging from public and civic buildings to urban master plans.

He holds a PhD in Architectural and Urban Design from the Royal College of Art (2018), and his research and design practice focuses on the impact of future trends on the design of the 21st Century City.

He has been responsible for co-curating public events and exhibitions in London and Hong Kong around the themes of ecologies in the city, including City Garden Follies in Camden Council (2010-13) and Visions 2050 Hong Kong Architecture and Urbanism Biennale (2015).

Central to his practice is a fascination with ecological urbanism - urban design through an environmental lens. His work ranges from designing material artefacts to experiences at an architectural scale.
