"I always find myself smiling when I reminisce about Ravensbourne, it has given me special memories, key skills and the confidence to enter the working world (I would do it all again if I could)!"
Year of Graduation: 2015
What appealed to you about Ravensbourne and your chosen degree course?
The industry contacts, London location, career opportunities and continued support after graduation were all factors that contributed to choosing Ravensbourne. Although I knew I wanted to work in the fashion industry, I was not sure which area I wanted to pursue, studying Fashion Promotion allowed me to explore the different disciplines in the industry.
How has your degree from Ravensbourne helped you achieve your professional goals?

Tell us about any personal highlights from your time at Ravensbourne
I was delighted when my final major project was shortlisted for the Fashion Marketing Award at Graduate Fashion Week and won the Concept Award at The Degree Show. I thoroughly enjoyed working, partying and graduating alongside my talented peers and friends.
Achieving a first in my degree cemented three years of hard work and all the support I had received from my tutors.
How is Ravensbourne different from other universities/colleges?
The open plan design of the building is what differentiates Ravensbourne from other universities, for me it was the perfect environment to learn and be creative. Challenging the traditional lecture style, tutors encourage conversation and group work when teaching. Unlike many other universities, the courses are digitally focused and this has put me in good stead going into an industry which is adapting to the digital world.
Tell us a little about your current employment.
I am currently the Social Media and Digital Manager at Lily and Lionel, a luxury British fashion brand based in London. My role involves creating and planning content for the social channels and growing a network of ‘friends’ to the brand.
What advice would you give to prospective students?
You get out of university what you put in, it is what you make it. It is also completely fine to not know what you are doing, it will work out in the end.
