What appealed to you about Ravensbourne and your chosen degree course?

Ravensbourne is known for its amazing state of the art technology and facilities.I felt the course offered a large number of opportunities for students with a high success rate for graduates.

Tell us about the benefits that you experienced from studying with us.

I learnt many skills whilst studying at Ravensbourne, above all I was able to enhance the skills set that I was really passionate about whilst on my course which were game design, 2D and 3D animation, digital painting and life drawing. I utilise these skills as a graduate and to this day I am still working hard to improve them.

When I look back at when I was first taught these skills at Ravensbourne, I realise it was the guidance and the push that I received from my tutor and fellow students that really helped me achieve my goals.

What were the highlights from your time at Ravensbourne.

During my second year at Ravensbourne, I gained work experience with a partner website of Ravensbourne and created a motion graphic animation for the website's avatar.

This was a valuable introduction to the industry and gave me a greater understanding of how to work and communicate in a team professionally.

How is Ravensbourne different from other universities/colleges?

The animation course is different because you have access to the latest software that the industry is currently using and you know you are learning using the latest software.

Your ideas and skills were valued, if there was something I was passionate about pursuing, I was not told to stop - instead I was offered help and support from my tutors. This was one of the most important and valuable lessons I learned from attending university.

Are you in employment and, if so as what?

I am currently doing an internship at Entertainment One Ltd in product development for children's toys - mainly Peppa Pig. I am also a freelance illustrator with an upcoming book that I recently finished.

What advice would you give to prospective students?

My advice to prospective students is to pursue what you are passionate about no matter what, enjoy what you do to the full and perseverence.
