Ravensbourne in top third of UK institutions for student employability

Students posing at graduationRavensbourne is in the top third of all UK institutions for employability with 95.3% of its graduates employed or in further study within a year of graduating, a figure higher than the national average.

The results are based on a national survey of 2014-2015 leavers from higher education undertaken by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) .

87.4% of Ravensbourne leavers responded to the survey.

Deputy Head of Student Services Jim Valentine said: “Our Careers team offer students and graduates access to unique job opportunities through the Ravensbourne Agency, a jobs portal for Ravensbourne’s students.”

“We also run short courses and masterclasses featuring prestigious industry figures which helps our students understand the skills required and the many varied routes into their chosen careers.

“Furthermore we ensure students and graduates are offered regular one-to-one meetings and support within courses - all factors which contribute to our high employability rate.”

Director Linda Drew said: “Our ambition is to provide our students with a distinctive learning environment enabling them to participate in professional practice and ensuring they are fully equipped with the cutting-edge skills to succeed in a professional creative working life.”
