Dallas Pierce Quintero Architects, who are based in house within IDEAs and Architecture, have been awarded the RIBA 2015 prize for best new house design under £500,000 and best emerging practice in London. Former Ravensbourne student Carlos Dallas is one of the company’s founding members. The winning project is a home without a sense of overlooking that still protects the daylight enjoyed by neighbours. The house is almost entirely open-plan and its materials were chosen for their resonance with the site.
