Brigitta Zics will be joining Ravensbourne as the new deputy head of postgraduate studies in September 2014.
She is a practitioner and award-winning artists who is interested in exploring the potential of thinking through digital making and how such a process leads to innovation and new knowledge. She engages with the emerging models of creative entrepreneurship, open innovation, and lab culture. Her recent interests embrace wearable technology, the philosophy of beauty, and data aesthetics.
In her artistic practice she applies creative and innovative technologies in order to access and extract the hidden dimensions of human experience. With the aspiration to better understand ‘what makes us human?’ she creates aesthetic ecologies (aesthetic interactions between human and machine) that are aware of human emotion and imagination.
