Dr Brigitta Zics, the Deputy Head of School of Postgraduate Studies, will be exhibiting her immersive installation, the Eye Resonator, at the Kelenföld Power Plant Exhibition in Budapest.
This will be part of the OFF- Biennale Budapest, which is a large scale contemporary art show held every two years. Eye Resonator at the Power Plant is an immersive installation that seeks to capture the imagination, engage the intellect and excite the emotions while responding to the eye movements of the spectator.
Each encounter with the system is unique as it reacts to the voluntary and involuntary responses of the individual creating a tension between being in control and being controlled. Eye Resonator at the Power Plant explores the faculty of perception and aspects of self-awareness by means of aesthetic pleasure and boredom.
Eye Resonator at the Power Plant is curated by Miklós Peternák supported by C3, Center for Culture & Communication Foundation, Kelenföld Power Plant Station and the Hungarian Museum of Architecture and Ravensbourne.
The exhibition opens on the 30 May 2015 and will be available for visitors between 1-3 May at the at the Kelenföld Power Plant Station, Budapest.
