Ravensbourne is proud to be working with Cinder developer Andrea Cuius of Nocte to present the following 4 day workshop using the Cinder framework in C++: Creating Real-time Sound reactive applications with Cinder.
Cinder is a powerful creative coding framework used by a global community of developers to create richly immersive and interactive works.
The workshop is aimed at mid-experienced programmer: we do require some confidence with C++, Cinder/Openframeworks, OpenGl and creative coding, however, during the first days we'll cover the basics of Cinder giving an introduction to the framework's main features.
On the second day we'll focus on sound analysis, covering different techniques and also some practical real-time implementations using LibXtract.
The third and fourth days will be dedicated to develop an actual sound reactive project, participants will be strongly encourage to propose a concept of their choice and implement it using some of the technologies covered in the workshop.
Participants are also encourage to bring any equipment they wish to use for their project, the tutors will help them to setup the application and integrate the hardware.

Dates: 1 to 4 September 2014
Cost: £150 per participant (includes morning coffee and a sandwich lunch each of the 4 days. It does not include provision of any equipment or any accommodation beyond the workshop room for the duration of the day.)
