The Ravensbourne Students’ Union (RSU) is here to ensure that students have the best academic and social experience at Ravensbourne. The Union works as the channel of communication between the students and the Institution and represents the voice of the students at Ravensbourne and in the local area at Greenwich Peninsula. Students at Ravensbourne automatically become members of the Union during enrolment.

Students Union

The RSU ensures that student’s voice is heard at all level. It represents students’ opinion to the institution on all matters affecting their life and education and promotes general welfare and social, cultural and athletic activities. The Union opposes all discrimination, promotes inclusivity and actively supports Ravensbourne’s Equal Opportunities Policy.

The Union runs number of clubs and societies and organises regular events to put fun in student life. Student can expect plenty of events throughout the year, linked to campaigns such as Go Green Week, Fairtrade Fortnight, Children in Need, Sports Relief and Mental Health Day.

Events take place both on and off campus. The O2 is often used as a venue, and students are eligible for discounts at shops, restaurants and bar there, including the Brooklyn Bowl and Slug and Lettuce.

The RSU is an eco-friendly union and is dedicated to become environmentally sustainable. It has maintained a gold status in the NUS’s Green Impact Awards Scheme since 2013. There are a range of clubs and societies to take part in including: Societies Basket Ball, Football, Snow society, Movie, Anime and Games Society (MAGS), Afro-Caribbean Society, Christian Union, Islamic Society, Drama Society, Street Dance Society, LGBT+ Association, and many, many more.

The Union is run by the students for the students and there are many ways students can get involved. The Union always needs volunteers to get involved as crew, acts, performers, riggers, promoters, photographers etc. Moreover, students can get involved with the decision making process of the Institution by becoming an elected officer (full-time President or part-time Vice Presidents) of the Union or Student Course Representative. Student Liaison

We care about your career at Ravensbourne - so we're here to guide you as you decide where to go from here.

Each of our course clusters has a dedicated student liaison officer to give you careers advice and information about events and opportunities in your area of study.

We also offer learning support and development with study skills, specialist tutoring and mentoring to keep you motivated and on-track.

We aim to ensure that disability and learning difficulties are not barriers to the selection of students, keeping any discussions entirely separate from the academic decision of the offer of a place.

And our Student Services team is also there to provide a listening ear and point you in the right direction for counselling if you're having personal issues.
