Department of Design Practice

The place to investigate communication, experience, interaction and product design for tomorrow’s creative industries.

I chose Ravensbourne because it was a very forward thinking institution and all elements of new technologies would be included in the course structure. I like that my course is so multi-disciplinary with opportunities for collaboration with students from different courses.
Hugo Raymond BA (Hons) Graphic Design alumnus

Louise PrideauxWe teach our students a wide range of practical skills, whilst allowing time for interaction, play, collaboration and exploration. All of our graduates leave us with a firm understanding of how to understand a design problem and answer it.

The London design world is on Ravensbourne’s doorstep. We encourage our students to gain industry experience in leading brands, answer live briefs and enter festivals and competitions.

The school regularly hosts designers and makers, offering our students insight into their work and design today.

Our students are offered individual attention and each person is allowed the freedom to grow, develop and decide on where they may see themselves as a designer.

Louise Prideaux, Associate Dean
